Cargo insurance

Damage and physical loss, theft and non-delivery of goods - these negative phenomena accompany the transport of goods at all times.
No matter how seriously does treat carrier or the owner of the goods about the problem of transportation, there is always a place for unforeseen circumstances - the cargo is damaged, corrupted, lost, etc. As a result, lost time and lost money.

The protection and guarantee against possible damage to the cargo owner can only be achieved by insurance.

 
Cargo insurance is one of the most common types of insurance operations. As policyholders may act any legal and natural persons who are shippers or consignees.
The insurance company SJSIC "Kafolat" (JSC) has extensive experience in insuring a variety of goods carried by all possible means of transport.
 
OBJECTS OF INSURANCE:
• Cargo;
• Baggage;
• Other property which is carried on board (transported) by different modes of transport.
 
Risks for Insurance:
1. "With responsibility for all risks"
- Death;
- Damage to all or part of the cargo.
- General average;
- All necessary and reasonable expenses incurred in order to save the cargo, or to reduce losses (mitigation process) and to evaluation of its size.
 
2. "With particular responsibility for parts damaged in an accident."
Damage or total loss of all or part of the cargo due to:
- Natural disasters;
- The crash;
- The collision of conveyances with each other;
- The impact of the conveyances  to the fixed or moving objects;
- Landing ship aground;
- Fire;
- The explosion;
- Damage to the vessel with ice;
- Wetting by sea water;
- Measures taken to rescue or fire fighting;
- Missing of the goods from the vehicle;
- Accidents in handling loading and unloading and refueling of the vehicle fuel;
- Losses, expenses, and contributions on general accident;
- The necessary and reasonable expenses incurred to save the cargo, as well as to reduce the loss and ascertaining its size;
- Losses from leakage of cargo substances due to the crash or collapse of conveyances.
 
3. "No liability for damages, unless the crash or collapse of."
- Losses from the total loss of cargo goods due to:
- Natural disasters;
- the crash or collapse  or collision of conveyances  with each other ;
- The impact of the conveyances  to the fixed or moving objects;
- Fire;
- The explosion;
- Damage to the vessel with ice;
- Wetting by sea water;
- Measures taken to rescue or fire fighting;
- Missing of cargo goods from the conveyances ;
- Accidents in loading, stowage or unloading of cargo and fuel during refueling conveyances ;
- Damage to cargo caused by the crash or collapse  conveyances with one another  or with any fixed or movable object;
- Fire or explosion at the conveyances;
- Losses, expenses, and contributions on general accident;
- The necessary and reasonable expenses incurred to save the cargo goods, as well as to reduce the loss and ascertaining its size;
 
 
4. "With the responsibility for the risks of storage."
Losses from destruction, loss or damage to all or part of the cargo resulting from:
- Unlawful acts of third parties (theft, robbery, intentional destruction or damage (spoilage and tear) of cargo by arson, explosion, damage to communication networks of the storage, etc.);
- Fire;
- The explosion;
- Land subsidence;
- Wetting or inundation by groundwater;
- Accidents (failure) of water, heating, or sewerage system;
- Natural disasters.
 
5. Theft, robbery
- May be reimbursed for specific agreed terms and at an additional premium.
